Terms and conditions
PAYMENT: A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due one day before the session. Acceptable payment methods for the balance include Cash or Venmo.
RESCHEDULING/CANCELING: If illness or other situations prevent a photo session from taking place, the client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours before the shoot without penalty. Should the client fail to give 24 hours notice or decide to cancel the shoot entirely, the deposit is forfeited and will not be refunded. The photographer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.
COPYRIGHT: All images taken by Shadz Photography are protected by Federal Copyright Laws. The photographer retains the copyright and ownership of all images from the photo session. It is illegal to copy or reproduce these photographs without the photographer's permission. Violators of this law will be subject to civil and criminal penalties. A print release is provided with the digital files of the session for personal use. This release does not allow for the publication of portraits, selling, or altering images without the photographer's permission.
LIABILITY: The photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Clients are responsible for their children and themselves and release the photographer from any claims against their person or business.
MODEL RELEASE: Clients consent that the images from their session may be used for online sneak peeks, display, portfolio, website, or publication to promote the studio. No last names will be used, and no compensation is provided for the use of images.
FACEBOOK SHARING AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA: Clients may post photos to social media sites, provided Shadz Photography is credited. Clients must not remove or have removed watermarks from photos. Sharing can be done by clicking the “share” button on photos posted to Shadz Photography’s Facebook page, not via screenshots of photos on Facebook or the Proofing gallery.
AFTER THE SESSION: Final online galleries are live for 4 weeks for clients to download their images. After that period, galleries are archived.
By booking a session, clients confirm that they have read this portrait agreement/contract and fully understand its contents. Clients agree that they have the legal authority to grant these permissions and accept all responsibility for such.
